Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel

This book left me untethered - I’m gonna have to stare into nothing for a few days just to process things fully.
What a FASCINATING approach to time travel. And how odd it is to have a sci-fi story feel so REAL.
This is a good one.

Ruination by Anthony Reynolds

The lore was great, the writing left a lot to be desired. Very… I guess dry is the right word?? But the story moves fast, the events are interesting, and the conclusion is satisfying. I’m really glad this book didn’t shy away from character deaths.
Speaking of characters, Vennix is a bad bitch and I want to read more about her 🙂↕️
Solid 3.5. Read this if you’re into League lore, but probably skip if you’re looking for a random new fantasy to pick up.

Heartbreaking and unhinged and oh so very human - wow what a story. I loved how full circle the ending felt, and how some things were never forgiven. I’m so glad I didn’t give up on TJR.
This would make for one hell of a movie.

I feel bipolar after reading this book, I both loved and hated it 😅
From one side it was unrealistic, the main character was downright mean, and I’m not sure how I felt about the “newscaster” pieces of the story. I tend to shy away from books that feel like nonfiction.
From another, I couldn’t stop listening to it.
Go figure!! Glad I gave Taylor Jenkins Reid another go. Her style of writing isn’t my favorite, but definitely has merit.

I don’t remember the last time I highlighted a book as much as I highlighted this one.
Whimsical, clever, filled with brilliant musings, quips that had me giggling out loud, and incredible world building - I loved every part of this beautiful fairytale.
Brando Sando strikes again 👏👏

The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon

…nothing…happened…over the span of over 55 hours of audiobook. How????
The immersive-ness was fun as always. But the pacing was literal molasses.
Hoping the next one is better 😵💫

Were the characters relatable? No. Was the book easy to read and did I have a great time? Absolutely. Fantastic cheeseburger 🍔
If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

Too long, too stuffy, too dramatic
Interesting premise and an ALMOST good ending

Brothersong: A Green Creek Novel by TJ Klune
4.5
First of all… TJ Klune, thank you.
Thank you for Green Creek
Thank you for packpackpack
Thank you for writing unforgettable characters that will stay with me for the rest of my life
And thank you for doing it so goddamn well
No one writes grief and yearning and unconditional love like you do.
When it comes to Brothersong... WOOF. The eldest sibling narrative caught me like a knife in the ribcage, and then it twisted. Just because the book isn’t tear stained, doesn’t mean I didn’t try 😅🥲 but don’t let that dissuade you. It hurts good.
