I like Bryson’s writing and sense of humour, but after a while this book gets repetitive. He visits a town, reacts negatively (most of the time), and then visits another town. As a Brit, though, I found this book very amusing and very accurate.

Not usually what I read, but I loved this. Amazing and immersive writing and I look forward to reading more by Reid.

I kinda forgot what happened in books 2 and 3 before reading, so for the first 100 pages I was very confused. I would've given it a 4.5 ⭐ if I'd had a better memory, I think. It does get better though, so that's a relief. I wrote a full review on goodreads, but I'll put a summary here:
Some people think Rowan shouldn't have been the love interest and that he shouldn't have been Aelin's main focus, which I mostly agree with. Manon's awesome, too.
Plot twists were great, as I've learnt to expect in Sarah J Maas' writing.

I did not enjoy this book as much as some people. The writing was slightly dodgy (although that might just be due to the editing), and I just didn’t enjoy this much as I thought I would.

I had high hopes which were not met. Some people really love this series, but I’m not sure I’ll be reading on.

I love this! Fantastic adaptation of the brilliant musical, shows some interesting insight into the characters’ relationships as well as having some chapters from Connor’s point of view. Love how similar it is to the musical whilst staying original (the Miguel plotline).
