4 ⭐️ An absolutely charming rom-com ❤️

"Don't give up on your happiness just because you're scared it won't last forever."

Summary:

Sarah Anderson is excited to go to her best friend's wedding in Ireland. However, that excitement turns to mortification when she discovers that the best man is her last one-night stand, who she not so graciously kicked out the next morning. What's worse is Declan seems to be hellbent on embarrassing Sarah at every turn. At least when the wedding’s over, she’ll never have to see him again. Right?

However, back in New York City, the more Sarah tries to forget about Declan, the more she can't stop thinking about his charming smile or the way he wears a tux. Maybe Sarah was meant to have Declan for more than one night only.

My Thoughts:

Catherine Walsh is easily one of my favorite contemporary romance authors! I started with The Rebound, then Holiday Romance, and now One Night Only, and every single book has made me laugh and swoon. Her MCs are always loveable and genuine, and the stories are entertaining and relatable. One Night Only was no exception!

The MCs, Sarah and Declan are both so genuine, relatable, and hilarious. I literally have nothing negative to say about them. I LOVE Sarah's sass and Declan's teasing. Together, they were so f*cking funny, I seriously laughed out loud so much! Plus, their character arcs were done beautifully. Both Sarah and Declan have reservations about relationships since their last ones ended terribly. So to see them work through their traumas and start to trust and love again was beautiful.

The romance was so sweet. I love a story where the guy falls first and the push and pull that happens when the girl resists. And oh boy did Sarah resist.

4 ⭐ Another delightful Irish rom-com from one of my favorite authors, Catherine Walsh

4 ⭐ Such a fun holiday romance!

4 ⭐️ I think I just found my new favorite paranormal rom-com series!!!!!!

"A man can fall for many women, but the wolf falls only once."

Summary:

Mateo Cruz is a werewolf who hasn't been able to shift for three months. His wolf has taken up residence in his head, taunting him night and day with vividly violent and carnal thoughts. Convinced he's cursed, he needs the help of a powerful witch before he literally goes insane.

Evie Savoie is the best hex-breaker around, but her coven has never been allowed to interact with werewolves, who are known for being moody and volatile. And when one distempered werewolf strolls into her family's bar, she's determined to turn him away. But the desperation in Mateo's eyes softens her heart and convinces her to bend the rules.

But what Evie doesn't know is that Mateo's wolf has a mind of his own. And now that she's in his sights, he wants only one thing. Her.

"Oh, yeah? What do I need?"

"Everything," he whispered against my skin. "And I'm going to give it to you."

That is, till he accidentally hits the elusive Isadora Savoie with his expensive sports car.

4 ⭐️ This collection of swoon-worthy novellas is a must-read!

And while these are three different stories, I loved how they were all somewhat connected and seamlessly woven together. Well done! My overall rating for this collection is 4 stars, but I've included my ratings for each novella below.

The Love Connection: 5 ⭐️

An airport pet groomer meets her frequent-flier crush and finds herself in a fake-dating situation with a professional risk assessor who moonlights as a romance author.

I absolutely adored this story. Honestly one of my favorite novellas ever. I can't even tell you how many times I smiled like a freaking idiot while reading about Ollie, the biggest sweetheart, and Bennet, a huge cinnamon roll. Their romance is a slow burn with great banter and delicious tension. There's even a hand-holding scene that made me swoon. SWOON! I'm not kidding. lol The only 'complaint' I could possibly come up with is that their story wasn’t a full novel. I just loved them so much that I never wanted it to end!

The Missed Connection: 4 ⭐️

Two strangers share a romantic night only to discover months later that they're professional rivals about to embark on an extended business trip together in this grumpy-meets-sunshine romance.

This was such a cute strangers to lovers to co-worker rivals to lovers story!!! THE TENSION! *Chef's kiss*. And the fact it has the grumpy x sunshine and 'I hate everyone but you' trope! Incredible! Gia (Bennet's best friend from the first novella) and Felix were so much fun to read about - and even though it’s a novella, I still felt like I knew them. I really liked them, but I loved the first couple more. I would read a novel of the first couple, but the novellas for these two were perfect.

The Sweetest Connection: 3.5 ⭐️

Two best friends have one week to return a lost love letter found in a candy store at the airport--and work up the courage to confess the deep feelings between them--before one of them leaves the country.

Friends-to-lovers isn’t my favorite trope, but this was sweet and enjoyable. Silas and Tegan have spent years secretly in love but are too worried about ruining their friendship. I'm not going to lie, there were quite a few times I wanted to wack them on the head for being completely clueless idiots.
