I really enjoyed this book but felt it was too dragged out. I don't think any book needs to be almost 600 pages. Part 1 is slow, Part 2 hits you like a bus, and Part 3 is too dragged out. Best way that I can describe this book.

Great, fast-paced read. I couldn't put it down. I think the author (and lawyer for the Manganos) did a good job of showcasing all sides of this case, from the defense, the prosecution, and the families of the victims. Having worked in nursing homes for the past 19 years, I certainly had my opinions throughout the book, and while I don't agree with the decision that the Manganos made (to shelter in place), I also wasn't in their shoes. I definitely believe that they had enough of an opportunity to evacuate most, if not all of their residents and in turn, avoiding this whole tragedy. As a social worker in a skilled nursing facility, I would have liked to hear more about what conversations were had with the residents' families in regards to evacuating vs. not, and whether or not more residents could have been taken by families that were evacuating to other areas. I would highly recommend this book. It was fascinating.

This definitely could have been 100 pages shorter, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

What a fascinating and well-written story. It gave a whole new meaning to unconditional love. Highly recommend.

Beautiful writing.

I read this with my son. I loved that they put the Grandpa in time-out.

Where do I begin? This book deserves more than 5 stars. I cried, and I don't cry at books. No other book has broken my heart and put it back together as many times as this book managed to do. "Me Before You" is so many things: Sweet. Funny. Sad. Quirky. Heart-wrenching. Heart-warming. This book will stay with me for awhile and I'll be suggesting it to everyone I know. Highly recommended.

I was on board until about half way, when I wanted to jump ship. It was all over the place, and the characters were super annoying. This was no Olive Kitteridge, I'll tell you that much.
