annah verhuist vlak voor haar examenjaar naar een dorpje aan zee. Haar droom komt uit want ze gaat eindelijk in een vuurtoren wonen. Super gaaf! Op het strand ontmoet ze al gauw een leuke, diverse vriendengroep, waar ze zich mag aansluiten.
Hannah kwam zichzelf best wel tegen na de verhuizing. Ze liep aan tegen het feit dat ze ADHD heeft en worstelde met de vraag wie ze nou eigenlijk is. Ook had ze het gevoel dat ze soms buiten de boot valt. Maar gelukkig heeft Hannah een fijne vriendengroep waar ze op terug kan vallen.
De kleuren van de zee van Miriam Bruijstens is het meest diverse boek dat ik ooit heb gelezen. Het is lekker zomers, queer en van Nederlandse bodem. Ook heeft het boek iemand met ADHD, een persoon die in een rolstoel zit en een iemand met de ziekte MS. Ik hoop dat ik in de toekomst meer van dit soort boeken ga tegenkomen.

This book was slow and it took me quite some time to get into it. It’s well written but not an easy read for me. The ending was quite open and I didn’t really like that. Fortunately we Have broken Throne to fill it up

What a journey was this book. I can see why some said that it felt rushed. It was full with actions and twists. Me? I really liked it and I could keep up with it. I’m really pleased with the ending. It’s closed and open at the same time. I’m sad that I have to say goodbye to these loveable characters. Yes, loveable. All of them (well maybe except for the redcap). There has been so much character development. I didn’t think that I would love these characters so much as I do now when I started the first book. They’ve changed. They all grew as a person. Goodbye to Elfhame for now... but I do hope to return soon.
