No one writes desperate, heart-wrenching, angsty, slow-burning enemies-to-lovers the way Tahereh clearly can. I felt so pulled along by a certain pair, adoring every chapter filled with their lovingly endless banter until the very end. Absolutely adorable and stunning read. Great extension to the first book. Can’t wait to see where book 3 takes Alizeh’s journey next.

The only reason it’s not 5/5 is because the middle was very slow/dry. The ending had me literally at the edge of my seat, locked in and committed. I haven’t read such a roller coaster of a third act is so long, this was unbelievably refreshing.
