Re-reading this book now that The Sacred Stones trilogy is complete feels like returning to a spellbinding dream—full of slow-burn romance, forbidden magic, and a world that still holds me captive.
My first MZ book and I was satisfied to read it. I loved the banter b/w these two and you know when they say something so sweet in their own language and then pretend like it was nothing and gives her a nickname? Yes, this is it!

Tristan and Morana make me completely obsessed with them and I'm so angry at myself for not reading this book earlier.
And let me tell you I'm a sucker for the badass female characters and this one was above else. Morana Vitalio is a very strong, determined and intelligent independent woman that I want to see in every character.
Tristan Caine is the new standard, girlies! I liked him from the very beginning, no matter how much of a jerk he was and that got more understandable after getting to know his background.
And the most important thing I loved in it was the writing of the author. Damn! She has a way for making woman swoon for them.
I highly recommend this book if you're looking for:
