I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were good and the story keeps you engaged. However I did find the end quite rushed so it was alot of build up to a bit of a lackluster ending.
The cover and tagine made me go into this book with different expectations. However, what I read was completely enjoyable.
The characters are well written. Nina is horrible throughout and I would be enraged with some of the things she said.
There are plenty of twists to keep you guessing and the pacing is just right.
The very last paragraph was impeccable. I could see it in my mind as the closing line of a good movie.

HOLY MOLY. What an absolute rollercoaster of a read. This book hooked me from the beginning. This was not a light read in the slightest. If books came with trigger warnings, this would have a few. It's dark, twisted, violent, brutal, chaotic. I like Karins writing style and will definitely add more of her books to my list. Honestly this is going to be a tough one to beat for favourite of 2024
Another book that gripped me from the start and I could not put down. I found the characters interesting and the whole premise of the story held alot of promise. However I felt the twists at the end although good, a little unessecary.
In my mind I thought Megan was actually going to do as expected and go through with each Pact as mentioned. I think this would of made for a much more interesting read. Over all though I enjoyed this book and finished it pretty quickly.
