Can you even actually rate The Iliad?

This book, this *story* has stood up to the test of time and SURVIVED. When you really, really think about that? It's nothing short of incredible.

Sweet, tender and yearnful queer poetry is always a winner!

I'll admit, I was worried this book wouldn't be for me as I struggled with The Final Strife. I've never been so glad to be wrong!

Tense, action-packed, diverse and romantic; Faebound has lived up to the hype! The world is SO interesting, and the characters complicated and messy, but still wholly lovable. I loved the focus on sibling bonds, and learning to trust something knew when you've been told something else your whole life.

I'm gonna need the next book now 💳💳💳

There's just something about the Unwilling Grump and the Small Child trope that fills my soul with happiness!

I really enjoyed Godkiller, and I am SO intrigued by the plot (I need to get my fingers on a copy of Sunbringer ASAP). The lore and the world-building is unique, and so rich with ✨️vibes✨️.

The diversity in this is also PHENOMENONAL. So effortlessly inclusive in a queer-normative world.

Evocation is complicated and messy, but at it's heart it is about a man who wants to be loved.

When I started this, I didn't immediately warm to David or Rhys's character. It wasn't until Moira was introduced as a POV character that I began to actually care about them properly. It was like the layers of old pain, and arrogance were sanded back each chapter. S.T. Gibson has a true gift for writing complicated characters, and with that, complicated relationships.

The mood of the writing was tense, and fast-paced. Every new thing we learned made the whole story even more addictive!

I am incredibly curious, and excited, to see what David, Moira and Rhys do next.

Thank you to Angry Robot, and the author, for a physical ARC of Evocation!

Wholesome, heartfelt, and revolutionary.

It's just absolutely perfect. Talking about humanity, morals, war, and the deep-seated issues that are rooted in the world today.

dark reflective

This was one of those books that are deeply impactful but not necessarily likeable.

It is thoughtful, messy, provocative, and raw. It touches on queer awakenings and the joys and triumphs of this period, but it doesn't linger here. We focus on the darker parts of it, the mistakes we make as we live, and learn in the queer community we have stepped into
