I had high hopes for this book and am disappointed by it. The poems are generic and seem to be trying to hard. There were a few poems I enjoyed. However, there was nothing overly special about this book. Maybe I didn’t enjoy it because I don’t relate. Yet, a lot of the metaphors and poems made no logical sense. The line breaks were often choppy and left much to be desired. It’s a pretty book to Instagram but not one I like enough to read again.

THIS. BOOK. I have followed Tyler on Instagram for years and finally got my hands on this book for Christmas. I adored every single page. He has an incredible way to share raw emotion and vivid imagery. These poems have brought me to tears and I know I will revisit it again and again. I could not recommend this book enough, if you are new to poetry or are an avid read BUY THIS! It is beyond beautiful, both the writing and the pictures are very high quality!

THIS BOOK. Its haunting, harrowing, beautiful. This book has a way of drawing you in and keeping you the entire time. Stunning characters and plot, beautifully written ,excellent language. It really holds it all. I adore her writing style and I couldn’t recommend this book enough. It’s a perfectly done tale based on a forgotten piece of history. But believe me after reading it it will no longer be forgotten. I can’t remember a time I have cried so hard over a book. I got so invested in the story that I already miss the characters!! I highly recommend the audiobook version that is how I enjoyed the story and will say it added so much to it!
