HAPPY RELEASE DAY ILLICIT! ya’ll don’t know how much i wanted to blab but i had to hold my horses for sev. 😂 where are my book lovers who don’t always believe in traditional happily ever afters?? if this is your cup of tea, lemme tell ya, non-traditional HEA is 100% sev code. its her staple & because of her — i love them. while illusion & illicit isn’t necessarily non-trad HEA, it does end on a open ending. it’s up to you, how you take it. sev’s storytelling is different from most authors i read & every book is unique in its own way. something i’ve never quite been able to put into words when i talk about her books. you just have to read them for yourself to understand.

just like sev’s every other book, illusion & illicit pulls you into an unknown world that will have your thoughts spinning at every direction. if you read illusions & had a million questions like i did, illicit will most likely answer most of them. illicit goes in depth with dresden mostly, & we get a few glimpses of willa but through dreams & nightmares. i didnt even realize how much i was falling in love with willa & dres. the chemistry these two share, the tension, the build up, and the trust. with each book that sev puts out, her writing just gets better & better - even when i thought it was already at it’s best, she proves me wrong with a new release(s) 😩 if you love magic tricks, the unexpected, slow burn, secret society, found family, magician x assistant, touch her & die vibes, — def. add illusion & illicit to the tbr ✨ *do heed trigger warnings before diving in as it does have dark & sensitive topics!

anyways happy release day to this bb & i hope ya’ll love the dream series as much i did ♥
