A Letter to Three Witches by Elizabeth Bass

I love all things witchcraft and I thought this book was adorable. It was a light, fun read, but it didn't quite live up to what I anticipated it to be. I finished the book feeling like my curiosities weren't answered. The build up of wondering who, if anyone, could be a Watcher was great, but the "big reveal" wasn't as surprising as I thought it would be and the ending felt too rushed. I wanted more of an understanding of WHO the Counsel was and I don't think I got enough closure as to Odin was or how he was so powerful.
If there's a sequel in the making, then scratch what I've said.
All in all, it was cute and would still be a fun read in the Fall!

All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers

This book was everything I want in a thriller! There was plenty of suspense, character development, and plot twists back to back. Just when you think you know, you have *no* idea.
“All Good People Here” is told from multiple character’s points of view from different time periods which makes it even better - there’s no guess work about what a character may or may not have done.
My favorite thing about reading Ashley Flowers’ work was that the beginning reminded me so much of Jon Bennet Ramsey and I grew up with that case plastered absolutely everywhere. I spent my entire life finding my mind wandering back to that case from time to time and feeling so frustrated and weirdly incomplete because her killer was never found or brought to justice. If that resonates with you at all, give this book a try.
I had no idea Ashley Flowers was a podcaster prior to reading this book (I don’t check out podcasts very often at all) but I’ll definitely be looking into her work going forward.
