Yep! I’m all in. I was looking forward to Cappadonna’s story and to return to the Delgato saga. These are getting better, or I’m more in love with them. Either way, I’m in!!

What the hell?!?! She waited til the last book to rip my heart out. This was the book I’d hoped for this whole series. It was good until this book. This book was damn near perfect!! If this was one whole novel it’d have been a five star read, with this book as its third act!!! Best one yet!! Looking forward to Cappadonna!!!

This book was a slow burn… I enjoyed it, but there were pacing issues for me. Thematically, the story was very appealing. Our horror is everyday life.

Wonderfully sweet with a good heartbeat at its core. Easy read that made me want to come back and see how it ended. Loved the MCs!

Difficult to review.

Enjoyed the story; concept but not its execution. It dragged for me and the MC was a tough sale.

Some really good atmospheric writing and I appreciated the tone set in this rural Texas world. All of that was believable and captivating. I also appreciated the Author and Character’s deep respect and love for Texas, for home.

This book just didn’t grab me. Uncertain if I want to dedicate time to the sequel.

Never read such a story. In my new ventures into Black Urban Romance, this might be the most tolerable, writing wise. Some stories go so far into the dialect and culture of this side of Black life that it becomes unreadable for me. This book perfectly walked that line.

I was a lil worried about Czar, but he had a wonderful character arc; I do love a good wounded hero. The romance between the couple was beautiful and raw and messy. I enjoyed this.

My only issue, this story was too long. Adding in further elements of ‘messy’! I could have done with one less element. I will read more from this author.
