The Gender Game by Bella Forrest

Okay hi....first of all. I didn’t expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. I enjoy the vivid writing and description of this world I am completely drawn in. From the very first page.
The chemistry between Vi and her counter part is so passionate and vibrant and innocent that it jumps off the pages and little make me long for the same in real like. I couldn’t but the book down. Outstanding read

The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee

The higher you are the further you fall...
Author:@Katharinemcgee
Trilogy: The Thousandth Floor, Dazzling Heights, Towering Sky
B&N:YA Fantasy
The story takes place in New York in the year 2118. Everything is high tech as hell and essentially the more money you have the higher status and the higher floor you’re on. You’re considered the ELITE, if you will. The entire story lines Centers around 5 friends Avery, Eris, Leda, Rylin(in retrospect ain’t a friend but is integral),Watt( also ain’t a friend) and finally Cord. Each of these characters have secrets that could.....and some have destroyed lives. The prologue actually JUMP started my intrigue in this novel if we’re honest.
While living in a world where, your phone is connected to your eyes and you can manufacture a human and even have hover cars. It’s so hard to imagine exactly what kind of troubles a person can have. Or you begin to think these troubles could only be the trouble people with MONEY have.
But, my friends, I’m here to tell you that is NOT the case...these secrets...they’re unorthodox .. I’m over here reading and thinking KATHARINE MCGEE.... where did you get this idea? Did you read VC Andrews? And the best part that was a lil unexpected is that you get to know the secrets UP-FUCKIN-FRONT

It is so hard for me to give this book a 3/5 so I am going to keep this review very honest review.

First and foremost the fuckin writing is exquisite...magnificent...ethereal if you will. I feel like the descriptions are so detailed and in-depth there is literally and I mean literally no way you could not fall in love with this world. It’s like the Hogwarts or Literary Fiction. There was never a point in reading this that I wasn’t transported Into this amazing and well thought out world...I’m especially appreciative of it because descriptions are the part of writing I’ve ALWAYS struggled with the most so when I see beautiful angelic descriptions I get jealous. EVERYTIME.... with all that said....
The writing is what carried this this novel for me. It’s what kept me coming back, the beauty of this world that was created I had to be apart of it but, Jesus the plot really did fall short for me....
1. Maybe it’s because I was reading a kindle version so I’ll admit with all the moving parts it made it hard for me to keep up cuz sometimes I had to flip back and go back to just understand where I was at. I mean it’s like Inception a story within a story within a story... wow
2. I feel like there was no true plot until 3/4 of the book. Like we’re introduced to Z, Dorian, Kat, and max etc and it seems to be really picking up... then somehow it really plateaus for me and only with 1/4 of the book left I realize....fuck this is a love story.... but but when did it turn into a love story....no fuckin clue ok...none but it’s there.
3. I mean....where the fuck are they like literally...WHHHEEEREEEE. What exactly is this building that they’re in?
4. Ugh I have a 4 but it’s a spoiler and I’d rather not.
5. Kats inserts should’ve been in the book at the fuckin BEGINNING... why wait until the end to add all of that? Like if I’m honest....it wasn’t even really needed in my opinion.
6. It was over and my mind was swirling with questions so....
I am going to get a physical copy
Of this book and give it another read. I’ll probably check @halfpricebooks because I already paid $14 on my kindle and don’t wanna spend more on a brand new copy .

Big picture I loved this book again the writing was great i couldn’t get enough and I am going to read another book of hers absolutely, this hasn’t deterred me, I just hope the plot I’m the next book is stronger on its own if that makes sense.
Being a fiction lover when it comes to books I would still
Recommend this book even at a 3/5 because it’s just such a beautiful story.
