Emily Henry stays at the top of the game. Miles might be my favorite love interest of hers ever?? Cried multiple times, physically felt the angsty moments in my gut, 10/10 wanna be a librarian & move to a small town in Michigan now

Absolutely loved the reread. Sequel is far less smutty and far MORE angsty. Wish some things could’ve been talked out a little bit more bc they both deserve the world, but I love both characters so much and saw both sides. When your situation is the problem, not your relationship, but it strains your relationship… oohhhh!!! Jamie & Wes forever 🫶🏻

Absolutely delightful, “quietly profound, humane tour de force” of a book. Diverse cast of characters. Can’t wait to read the next in the series

Endearing, hopeful, nostalgic, loving, I cried. Every character was fantastic & I rooted for them all. What a warm hug of a book. Can’t stop thinking about it. “When you gotta scream, you gotta scream.”

Kind of hated this lmao. Writing wasn’t great, lots of typing errors (not typos, whole words repeated or misplaced), cheesy Christmas-related metaphors (felt like I was getting hit over the head with it). The riddles felt like they were only solvable if you were a character in the story, not a reader (bc you needed insider info). The deaths were ridiculous. Hard to believe by the end. Shame the bi representation had to be with such annoying/ unlikable characters.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

Suzanne Collins has done it again. I only read this book because I wanted to see the film, but I regret putting it off for so long. I was turned off by a book being about a villain/ their origin story, but I should’ve never doubted Suzanne. She writes so brilliantly, and it was really fun to read this knowing about The Hunger Games trilogy and recognizing the evolution of the games, or catching all the nods to the original trilogy with references and quotes. Big fan. The last 3 chapters had me shook. Would read a roll of toilet paper if she wrote on it.

I want to read this book again and again and again. It was a warm hug and it was whimsical and it was enchanting and it reminded me to dream and it was so tender and had so much heart. Tears were brought to my eyes multiple times but mostly out of happiness and being hit right in the heart.
