One of the things I like best about this is it's funny without being as ridiculous as some of the other books in the series, plus Steph put in some effort to develop skills for her new job and planned to continue to do so. It's too bad she doesn't really follow through in the ensuing books (at least not to the best of my recollection). (Of course I quit reading the series several years ago and don't know if she eventually does follow through. I guess I'll find out when I eventually get around to reading the ones that came out after I quit the series.)

I had a hankering for a fun, light, breezy read and the Stephanie Plum books always deliver. This one's been one of my faves since I first devoured it what seems like a lifetime ago.
