All The Other Mothers Hate Me by Sarah Harman

Did I read a different book from everyone else or what. Because this was supposed to be hilarious? Witty? Sarcastic? Funny?
What I don't get is: what about a female - who only has her son to live for in her life who does not like his mother a lot, whose ex-husband thinks her less than nothing, whose career has been a flop, all of her previous friends now moved on and happy with their lives, whose only sister who she sort-of raised barely tolerates her, whose school co-parents all hate her - is funny?
What about a woman - who says her son is the only thing she lives for, yet never actually listens to a thing her son says, doesn't spend quality time with her son, leaves said 10-year old son at home alone to go have some random fling - is witty?
What's so sarcastic about a woman who has only had bad things happened with her, and who is sort-of the reason for her bad luck?
What's hilarious about a woman who has no friends, yet the one person who befriends her, she lies to, hides things, goes behind her back, is never honest with, and doesn't accept or understand her?
What's witty about a woman who goes on investigating a missing person's case while ignoring all the obvious pointers, important facts, listening and understanding nothing, just works with a tunnel vision?
And don't even get me talking about her daydreaming like the world revolves around her!
Seriously what?
Don't doubt me - I liked the book. I liked the book as a depressing story with a mystery as the background. I just dislike the misinformation!
Please don't read this book if you want humour.

It's been so long since I finished a book in 2 days. And it's been so so long since I read a contemporary romance besides a couple from my favourite authors.
So, yes this book was truly amazing.
Okay given it was a billionaire MMC trope, there were bound to be some clichés, the FMC somewhere making stupid decisions, some overhyped situations. But that's a given thing. Not everything can be perfect for everyone.
Overall, the story was really beautiful!
It satisfied my need for a good billionaire MMC romance! I've been passively searching for one for so long. And glad that this was the one.
And I just came to know that she is the author of the Lightlark books. And now, they are in my TBR too!

It started well. Not too unique, but the story was going well. But then came the gobblesmaxhseodojkwiup.
Like what just pick up all the good clichés from every good Romantsy, mix it up and call it a book??
I really really don't want to be one of those people. Just criticising things. I start a book, especially in a genre that I love, and I want to like it. I really do!
But then the books go and do this...
