Awful. The author used so many oddly gross descriptors in weird places I couldn’t get past the first few pages

This was so good I read it in one sitting. As a mixed (AfroIndigenous Caribbean and white, disabled, queer woman from Greater Philadelphia Region I cried so want times but also felt so much hope. I highly recommend all read about growing up Black and gay in the 1980s forward in Camden, NJ
