The pace and the art were definitely a struggle, but the character work on Magneto is particularly great. The tortured past of the character is key in understanding any stories in which he is the main figure, and I think the writers definitely know him well.

The X-Men are not only out of their time but out of their dimension, that's kind of fun, particularly because bratty Cyclops isn't there, and old Cyclops is also not there.
