I haven't been converted to the gospel of Glennon Doyle, and this book did nothing to change that. The tone of this book came across as smug, self-important, and gimmicky. The language is goofy, and twisted into nonsense in an attempt at cleverness -- I cringed every time she referenced her "wild" and her "Knowing." Though I have no doubt that life has taught her valuable lessons, and that she has plenty of wisdom to share, I found her writing style to be quite off-putting. The situations felt
contrived, the relationships were too perfect, and the dialogue felt straight from a TV movie where everyone always says just the right thing. Though there were a few passages that resonated, for the most part it felt a bit too self-congratulatory for me to find much of actual substance.
