STEAMY !!!

I can’t write a proper review that isn’t borderline inappropriate in the worst ways. But I loved these two. I’ve seen reviews hating on Corrado, but you gotta understand Les loved him no matter what to the point his biggest flaw was what he loved most. Their romance is borderline toxic but cute enough to ignore at least for me.

Overall loved the book

I found Love, Only Better to be very cute. This book wasn't my usual speed but it was enjoyable and entertaining.

Blurb:
Our main character is 28-year old, Jewish-Latina Rebecca. In her 28 years on this earth she has never been able to achieve the big O. This issue has ruined many, if not all her relationships and sexual experiences. She has decided to swear off dating. Until, a sexy biker by the name of Kyle moves in across the hall. There is instant chemistry between the two when they meet. Rebecca wants her relationship with Kyle to work but she believes in order to do that she must figure out how to achieve the big O. This is her big secret and she can't solve this problem on her own to she brings in the experts.

Review:

There were many elements to this book that made it enjoyable. I liked the idea of women empowerment and I felt like the characters were great and diverse. I've never read a cute romance novel with a Jewish lead so that was sweet. This was ideally a slow-burn which I usually like but couldn't really buckle in for this ride. There were times when I felt like Rebecca really needed a therapist and not a vibrator. She had a lot of self hatred and confidence issues. Which naturally I believe her past relationships contributed to but she was borderline obsessive about her quest for an orgasm as if it was the cure to a deadly disease. Alternatively, this was a learning experience for her and perhaps this journey of self discovery really was important for her to grow as a person. overall, this probably wasn't my favorite read.

Thank you NetGalley and PR by the Book for this ARC

I have very mixed feelings regarding this book. I liked the element of an age-gap between Rain and Parker. It happens to be one of my favorite tropes. However, I found myself very frustrated by both of them.
Parker is a divorced single father of twin girls scorned by love and Rain appears to be a shy, yoga teacher pining after Parker ever since the night he saved her. They have feelings for eachother or perhaps it's just lust at first, but something is there that they can't seem to forget after that night. Parker is afraid of getting his heart broken and he won't risk hurting his little girls. Rain wants Parker to want her, but she lacks the courage to really go for him. Luckily they have a close friend group and they are both being pushed on both sides to take a leap of faith.

I believe most of my frustration with this read came from being slightly confused with the dialogue. I found myself getting lost in who was speaking and to whom. I found this book hard to follow especially when it contained mostly dialogue. I did however, like the personalities of the supporting characters. The friends were funny and witty but not particularly clever in their plans to push the couple together. I also liked how the author incorporated the "aside" device with Parker, I would've liked to see more of that. I found it to be fun and different.

Overall I would say I didn't love this book. It wasn't a bad book, maybe just not for me. Conflicts that could easily be solved by communication don't excite me. I just find myself frustrated begging the characters to get their head out of their own a**.

I honestly went into this blind and whoa! I’m so here for this story.

It’s giving more mystery and suspense than steam but I’m already invested. I have to see this through.

At this current moment? I have two words — emotional roller coaster.

Gypsy and Lucian are two misunderstood individuals who didn’t know what they were missing until they met each other. I’m a Zavarelli fan so I knew I would fall in love with these characters. I read this book without reading the blurb and it was honestly the best decision I made. This book wasn’t the steamiest but it made me feel things and automatically made me invested in the character which is a factor I love in all my reads. The characters had depth to them and I desperately wanted them to succeed

I’m no prude but I could’ve done without the tampon scene. I don’t know how many would agree but I’m not here for it lol. Overall I enjoyed the story but I think it could’ve been wrapped up a little sooner

I honestly don’t know how I feel about this book. There were so many feelings involved when reading it. At first I was confused and worried it was taking a dark and uncomfortable turn. But then I thought “whoa this is different”. I can say one thing, this book will take you on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster and it’s definitely not what you think. I haven’t read a review that actually speaks about the real story here. I went in blind and I think others should too!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars for this pleasant surprise
