😭😍😭😍😭😍😭♥️😭 all the happy tears at the ending. I love this family and found family. Polly & Ryan are perfection. Jake is the sweetest and Ryan is an amazing father.
Polly is stubborn, sassy, loving, sweet and cares so deeply for those around her. Ryan is kind, generous, honest, just as stubborn as Polly. They both feel so strongly. Fiercely protective and caring for each other.
Reading about Jake finding love and healing after Ryan adopted him is so beautiful. So sweet and wonderful.
Weston, Sadie and sweet baby, Caleb are *heart eyes* for days. I am absolutely obsessed with them. I really like how Sadie’s overwhelming grief and Weston’s processing of finding out he’s a dad seems real and relatable. I could feel their emotions through the pages. I connected with them instantly and was invested from the first chapter.
Weston is so gentle with Sadie and has so much empathy for her. He immediately steps in as a dad and wanting to learn everything right away.
Theres more I want to say about their relationship but I don’t want to spoil it.
I love the connection to Felicity and the whole Landmark Mountain crew! I adored that series so I love that the characters are in this series too.
The Single Dad Players group is hysterical but also so heartfelt. These dads love their kids and they want their fellow dads to be successful. The excerpts from the Single Dads Playbook made me emotional. So relatable as a parent, so funny and so so good.
Wow. The writing in this is superb. I knew I’d love this book from the first chapter. It’s dark, it’s sad, it’s psychological, it’s brilliant.
The analysis of sentences, body language, appearance, etc by Maggie throughout the book is provocative. The way she perceives and analyzes the world is beautiful.
The way she wrote the description of Maggie for us - the reader - was a new approach that I loved. It starts with a recounting of her tattoos, then her piercings then
“she stepped closer to the mirror - hello there Maggie Moore”
followed by a description of Maggie. Then throughout the rest of the book the characters are described through Maggie’s unique processing that almost reads like an official law enforcement description:
“Black Early forties Wrangler boot-cut pressed jeans Rattlesnake belt Black cowboy shirt, white trim pockets, pearl buttons Black alligator boots Bulge on his hip: 38 no doubt”
This book was fun. So much banter 😍. This book is fast paced, fun and exciting. You never know that’s gonna happen next in this wild case. Jackson & Mackenzie are both badass private investigators on a case that will keep surprising you.
From each of their POVs they make up nicknames for each other “pretty boy”, “miss hotness”, “hot chocolate”, “mac attack”. So cute! The chemistry and banter is so good.
This damn book y’all…. This book had me giddy through the whole book. Mallory and Dash get into a marriage of convenience and are so gone for each other. But they keep letting their insecurities get in the way of expressing their true feelings. “This is fake”, “he/she wouldn’t want this to be real because…” I thought I was going to throw the freaking book I wanted to shake them! They are so perfect for each other, so obsessed with each other. Ugh I loved every second of it.
“One dinner with this woman and she f*cking has me.”
“He gives me a closed-lipped smile that’s full of knowledge or promise about what might follow this first date. And I want all of it. Heaven help me.”
Oh my gosh this book is so good! Clementine and Theo are so sweet together. Their first meeting burns hot and fast. Then the slow burn sets in….but it’s the sweetest story. He falls so hard and the way he pines for her, but is patient is everything. Her internal obsession with him through most of the book is hilarious and sweet.
This book navigates family dynamics, family trauma, relationship trauma and betrayal, therapy and learning to trust and love someone who is safe.
Beautiful story! Love Clementine’s sisters so much. The underlying plot of this book that involves her sisters is so clever and funny. Love!
This book is magical mixed with local legend. A new to town Christmas store owner, Hollis, meets a local officer, Mike, who’s the sole guardian of his hilarious, sweet, Christmas loving little sister.
The first part of the book Mike is annoyed by how much he likes her and his inner monologue is hilarious. 🤣😂
“Long chestnut hair tumbles past her shoulders in loose waves, gently framing a pair of light green eyes accentuated by thick, dark lashes. And in pouty pink lips that appear full and inviting, and it’s enough to render any man powerless, including myself. This, in turn, only serves to piss me off further.”
This book is festive and sweet and full of lots of delicious tension. You want a book full of warm and fuzzies you can read in a day? This book is for you! Absolutely loved it! ♥️
This book was twisty and surprising. I love when I book keeps me guessing and keeps the pace of the book going until the very last page. This book delivers. The peak into the mind of a killer, a serial killer and the people around them is fascinating and creepy.
I don’t always love books in the third person but in this book it works. While it’s written in third person it changes POV often throughout the book which keeps the book flowing.
I’m not crying….you’re crying! 🤣 yes it’s 2:08am and yes I just read this in one night. Oh my word this book! 😭😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️♥️
Beautiful, hard, heartbreaking, roller coaster of a wonderful story. I couldn’t give up on the story, I couldn’t give up on the HEA. I had to see it through and boy was it worth it.
Justin is patient, intentional, funny, caring, loving and sweet. He’s sure of what he wants - Emma and how he wants it - committed, mutual and forever. He’s had a hard adult life - losing his dad, mom going to prison and becoming sole guardian of his 3 siblings.
Emma is funny, smart, empathetic, kind, and loving even when she’s scared to let people in. Her traumatic past and trauma are at the forefront throughout this book. It’s heartbreaking to read about the impact of trauma - especially childhood/parental based trauma but it’s also beautiful to watch her be loved through it by her best friend Maddy and Justin.
This book will rip your heart out and put it back together. You will cry, you will laugh, you will feel despair and hope. I found myself smiling so much reading this book and then in tears chapters later and then smiling again and repeat. Love, love, love.
I am obsessed with Daniel and Alexis! Individually…they have their own histories, their own lives, their own passions and struggles. They come from 2 different worlds but when they are together everything makes sense.
This book takes you through their relationship - the good and bad of their separate lives. The magic of their relationship mixed with the internal struggle of how it would work and feeling like it couldn’t.
There are characters that anger me, characters that made me laugh, characters I wanted better for, characters I want revenge against. This book delivered things I wanted and things differently than I would have thought I wanted but it worked so well.
