What a fun and delightfully narrated book!

Sabrina Snow rejects her bridegroom at the altar after he inadvertently leaves a voicemail confessing his infidelity then the asshole tries to gaslight her. Her family tries to gaslight her. She’s making up his confession. Like, why would she? Ugh. That very beginning was so hard to read.

But then she goes to a bar and runs into Tyler Falcon, father of her figure skating student and resident hot dad of hockey. They drink and flirt and she makes some confessions of her own including how much she’d love for him to pin her down and give her something she’s never had.

Tyler is a gentleman though. Good man. And now it’s been a few months. She needs a job and he needs a nanny for his two adorable children. His mother sees the perfect solution even those these two knuckleheads aren’t sure how they can handle their attraction in such close proximity. News flash: They can’t. 😂

I love Sabrina and Tyler’s love story. It was just what I needed this week.

Highly recommended for lovers of hot single dads, hockey-adjacent romance, and fantastic duet narration! @narratedbyteddyhamilton and #brookebloomingdale do an amazing job with this duet narration.

I absolutely adored Only In Your Dreams, so I wasn’t surprised to discover I also adore Only Between Us.

Brooks Atwood is a book boyfriend made of tattoos, abs, and “if he wanted to he would.” And let’s not forget that great ass Siena can’t keep her eyes off of. We start the book with him having an image problem preventing his dream NFL team from bringing him back on two years after an almost career-ending injury. When he was injured, he also found out his girlfriend of eight years had been cheating on him with a teammate. He went on a major downward spiral and had numerous drunken sex sessions in back alleys of clubs. Some caught on video. The family friendly NFL team doesn’t want that nonsense even if it was almost two years ago.

And then gorgeous spitfire Siena Pippen lands in his arms and a photo has the world thinking they’re a couple. This could be the answer to Brooks’ dilemma.

Except Siena would rather eat glass than fake date Brooks after he insulted her integrity. Let’s just say they both have some issues that need overcoming.

This book is so sweet and spicy. It’s a perfect blend of all the things I love in romance novels.

(And, @elliekwildeauthor, I know it takes time and energy and loads more f brain power to write, but I want you to know I am *dying* for Parker’s book. I’m so serious. And I *will* devour it in a day or less. 😈)

Highly recommended for lovers of sexy athletes who can toss you around, guys with praise kinks, and supportive families and friends!

I had such a good time with this enemies (ish) to lovers rock star romance.

They’re at a party and rock god Savage has his eye on up and coming star Laila Fitzgerald until his bestie, Kendrick, stakes his claim. That’s fine. He’ll be able to avoid her- it’s a just a party. Oh, what’s that? She’s joining their tour as an opening act. Well hell.

There are a lot of immature shenanigans here for sure, but somehow I enjoyed them. They lie, they try to make each other jealous, there’s an incredible miscommunication. But I loved it.

First there’s the tour, then they end up being involved in a singing competition show which leads to a fake dating plot. Fake dating happens a lot in these celebrity romances. Does anyone know if there’s actually that much fake dating going on in the show biz world?

Oh, and the narration was perfect for these characters. That cocky, but secretly sweet tone for Savage and the sunshiney Laila. If you read this one, I must insist you listen to the audiobook.

My friend said the cartoon cover guy looks like Bob Dylan and Harry Styles’ baby boy and now I can’t unsee it.

Highly recommended for lovers of rock star romance, fake dating, singing competitions, and songwriting!

I didn’t intend to, but I read two books with the grumpiest football/rugby playing grumps within the same week and I ATE THEM UP. This is my new sub-genre. Give me all your grumpy football/rugby MMCs.

Brodie McRae’s career is in a downward spiral after some very poor decisions and an impossible-to-kill rumor about him betting on rugby. He’s been traded to a new team and he’s just found out his new sports agent is his arch-nemesis’s ex-fiancée, Charlotte Harrington.

Things are looking rough.

But Charlie doesn’t take no for an answer. Despite his current predicament, he’s her highest-profile client and she knows how to fix his image. If he’d only follow her instructions.

Y’all. The genuine hatred and the forced proximity. The way they are magnetized to each other. Ahhh. It’s delicious.

This is a slow burn of a romance until it isn’t. And it’s not just spicy times. These people expose their raw and battered hearts to each other especially Charlie. Charlie whose love for her sister is the most touching thing to witness. And Brodie who gets it immediately. The vibes on this one are pristine.

I was given an eARC of this book by the author @beatricebradshawauthor and I cannot wait until she writes the rest of this new series. These guys (the Scottish Rugby Rebels) are golden!

🌈 This book has been so highly recommended by so many friends, I’m delighted I finally made time to read it. What a wonderfully written book about being confident and about being accepting and about figuring out life.

Gene is the first trans man playing professional baseball in a Triple A team. His teammates are kind and accepting of him. His coach is someone he’s admired for years. His best friend is a married pitcher who lets him live in their house for free. His life is good.

And then Luis Estrada gets traded to his team. The same Luis Estrada that he thought was his friend in college, but didn’t even say goodbye when he left to play ball. Gene has hurt feelings.

Oh man! Their season starts out ROUGH. Like, these two could not be playing worse together. Good thing they have a brilliant coach. Time together allows them each to open up and expose their messy hearts. And wouldn’t you know that’s right exactly what they needed to find their groove. On the field and off. Woo boy! That off the field action is delectable. 🥵

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure I was going to stick with this one. For a person who enjoys reading and watching fictional sports-centered things, I don’t actually enjoy sports. And this one was filled to the brim with baseball talk. I’m so glad I stuck it out though. I care so much for all of the characters, not just our beautiful couple, Gene and Luis.

Recommended for lovers of a slow burn, admirable side characters, and baseball. Like, baseball is a character in this one. ⚾️

✨ALC Review✨

Y’all. I enjoyed the hell out of this sweet and spicy romance narrated most excellently by @akaemmawilder and @jasonclarkereads. Is there much better than an absolute grump who gets struck hard by Cupid’s arrow?

Atlas Steele is a former football player/current high school coach. He’s attending a charity gala and looking like a whole damn meal in his tux when he runs into Sutton Sinclair in the hotel elevator. They’re both hundreds of miles from where they live. What could be wrong with a hot one-hour stand? They’re about to find out.

When Sutton and her teenage daughter pull up to their new rental house in Starlight Cove, Maine (I’m reading so many books set in Maine lately!), she is stunned to see Atlas (she didn’t even know his name!) towering over her. Of course, having been burned by stalkers before, he thinks she followed him home. Oh, Atlas. This is not an auspicious beginning for your landlord/tenant situation.

I absolutely love how they both tried to stay apart, but their incredible and sizzling chemistry made it impossible. And throw in Atlas’s caretaking instincts and it’s game over. These two knuckleheads can’t stop kissing and so much more. This is a spicy one, y’all.

From stalker exes, flooded cottages, and adopted kittens, Atlas handles it all in his grumpy but tender way. And Sutton EATS IT UP. Who can blame her?

And this narration? Good lord. It’s so fvcking good! I was literally giggling while driving. Absolute magic.

Highly recommended for lovers of delicious spicy times, eccentric small town antics, and hot brothers.

I was given this ALC. by @hanbright_pr and @brighton_walsh. This was my first book of Brighton’s, but undoubtedly will not be my last. I’m ready for these other Steele brothers!

What a powerful story! I started this one on the way in to work and I was so mad I actually had to work instead of continuing to listen.

It grabs you from the jump. Quill is running on a remote trail-training for the Boston marathon- when she hears a woman’s scream. This sets off a chain of events that will engross you,  frustrate the hell out of you, and sadden you to the depths of your soul.

Quill and her husband, Crow, along with their two children live on the Red Pine reservation in northern Minnesota. Quill has always felt safe on the land, running at all hours when she feels compelled; but now she’s heard this scream and she begins investigating when she doesn’t feel the tribal police are doing enough.

She feels a connection to the missing woman. She found her earring at the place of the abduction and she holds onto it, feeling that if she carries it, the woman will be found alive.

The one missing woman is horrible enough, but then another woman goes missing from a crowded casino. Who is doing this? How are they getting away with it?

She enlists her friends, Punk and Gaylyn, for all kinds of investigative and dangerous work. Did some of her decisions make me furious? Absolutely. But do I understand the drive to not stand by and to actually DO SOMETHING? Absolutely.

Look. Quill is not a perfect person. Who is? But she cares deeply for her community and her family. And if I were missing, there’s no one I’d rather have looking for me.

Highly recommended for all mystery lovers!

Please look up MMIW or the more inclusive MMIP for more information about the disproportionate violence against these women, girls, and two spirits.

✨ ARC Review ✨

I enjoyed this steamy sapphic novel. Did it wow me? Unfortunately, no. But it was a solid effort with some genuinely sexy moments.

Gemma has just been unceremoniously dumped by her fiancé after *seven* years together. No explanation. She’s bunking on her friends’ couch now. Aaaand she’s just found out she’ll be working with her college era ex-girlfriend, Celeste. Celeste who completely ghosted her eight years ago. Again, no explanation.

I’ll be honest: this part of the story DID NOT work for me and since it’s central to the entire thing, this is why I only enjoyed it rather than wanting to sell it to every person I’ve ever met. Celeste’s reasoning for not letting her girlfriend know why she hightailed it back to Seoul was asinine.

Okay, now for the good stuff: I loved Gemma’s friendship with Kiara and Val. I loved the desire to find elder Asian lesbian couples for the article they’re creating. Representation matters always. I loved all the food descriptions. And I loved the way Gemma and Celeste yearned for each other and those times they let that yearning loose? Sexy. Hot. 🥵

Would I recommend it? For the reasons I loved? Sure. Overall? Only if you’ve read every other sapphic romance available.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from my first omegaverse reading experience. What I got was a whole host of interesting ways to have sex with six people who share a home. And, at 18 hours on audio, you’d think it might get boring. It didn’t! I think the credit for that goes to the author, of course, but also this outstanding cast.

Ripley has lost hope of finding her own pack. Apparently most omegas locate their partners pretty quickly, but she’s had three years and nada. *Until* her graduation ceremony and an alpha and beta grab her attention and she theirs. But what really gets her is a scent that is all around them. Another omega. Highly unusual in the omegaverse (at least in this novel), two omegas don’t usually attract like this. But attract they do! And we’re off to the races.

With *three* alphas, one beta, and two omegas to keep satisfied, literally all their time is spent fvcking and cuddling.

This was mostly a sweet, sexy good time, but it took an unexpectedly rough turn near the end, so I will say check any CWs.

One more thing re: narration. I love a good multicast recording and every performer was on their game with this one. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

✨ ARC Review ✨

As we all knew from the moment Ellis declared “She’s still a Byrd”, Wren and Ellis were meant to have their second chance. What we didn’t know is how beautifully nuanced @tarahdewittauthor would write theirs.

Second chance is my favorite trope. My heart and soul believes that when it comes to love, sometimes we’re big dummies and figure things out later. Sometimes insurmountable odds are actually surmountable with time and space given.

Ellis has known for a while that he’s still in love with Wren, but Wren doesn’t know this. When he suggests a road trip to take their son to college, she balks. How can she agree to a road trip with her ex-husband when she can’t even look at him? But when he lays his cards out (like a fully-formed emotionally intelligent person) and says he wants to use the trip to see if they have what it takes for a second chance? She’s in. Oh, is she in. Cautiously optimistically in.

The way these two communicate their wants and needs is by turns flirty and serious. The balance is incredible. I never felt weighed down by their issues. Instead, I felt buoyed by their willingness to talk about the hard things.

Now, some book buds didn’t care for parts of this book and I hear what y’all are saying, BUT their physical attraction has existed since they were teenagers. It makes sense to me that as they grow closer again emotionally that they would also lose themselves to their sexual tension as well.

Listen. I posilutely love this book. It’s gorgeously done and I’m in love with Ellis and Wren.

Highly recommended for lovers of glorious second chance romance! ♥️♥️♥️
