I’ve read a kajillion mystery novels. I could pinpoint every time this author laid out a big clue, so the mystery wasn’t much of a mystery. I did enjoy our protagonist and the other characters. I found the story about the town compelling too. The one issue I have is that she created some red herrings and instead of resolving them, she was like “well, I can’t solve everything for you. ::shrugs::”
