Not for me, I guess 😶😶🤡🤡 Don't know if I'm terrified of this or if I want to burst out from laughter, but I'm officially scarred for life? I know some people love this type of dark romancees, but I don't understand what's supposed to be "hot" about this?

Didn't expect to, but surprisingly I actually enjoyed this. I mean for once, I didn't have the urge to punch a man in the face... so that's something I guess. Also, the writing is actually really good and the romance was pretty amazing. I don't read a lot of romance, but I feel it has that one thing that a lot lack, emotion and believability when it comes to characters (particularly talking about the steamy kind). Think the only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is that extra spark, but honestly don't know what that is.

Didn't love it, didn't hate it, but was definitely disappointed by the end. I absolutely loved it from the beginning. Yes, it was unsettling and appalling, but still heartbreaking. Maren is definitely the definition of an anti-hero - you like her, you feel sorry for her, but you also want to slap some sense into her. As stated I LOVED the beginning, but later on I was unsure of the goal the author had in mind for Maren. From there on it was like everything went downhill. I loved the writing as well in the beginning-although that also went downhil in certain parts-and there were some key points in the middle that was moving in a way and gave the story meaning. But I'm just... confused? I guess. I don't know. In the beginning she's this innocent (contradictory,  I know) yet disurbingly horrifying character you can't help but love and towards the literal end she's just this black widow of sorts? I understand there's probably nuances in that decision, but I think it could've been done a little better.
