The Fires by Sigríður Hagalín Björnsdóttir
Did not finish book. Stopped at 11%.

Awful translation/writing, bad editing which made it less than interesting. I love volcanoes & disaster fiction but I just can't get through this

The first half is pretty darn funny in some parts. Very informative, gets kinda slow the latter half. Sometimes feels more like a textbook than a book. Learned a lot though!

Started out interesting, but about 1/3 of the way through got very slow and boring. Draggingly so, I ended up skipping chunks here and there which seemed to make no difference.
Bummed since I love old world lore, especially Irish but it just...lost the magic & pace.
