wow. when I checked this out from my local library, I had no idea that I'd love this book as much as I did. Wolitzer does an amazing job conveying the sentiment that a mentor, someone to look up to and admire, can truly change the course of your whole life. Wolitzer's characters like Greer, Zee, Faith and even Cory were complex, relatable, and honest; I felt myself sympathizing with all of them at various moments of the book, and it was a thrill to learn how they all turned out. this was a great read!!

I don't even have real words to describe how incredible this book was, from both a craft and story perspective. It's not a wonder that Catch-22 is regarded as one of the best American novels of our time - just a wonder it took me so long to read it!

wow. one of my favorite books of 2019 so far.

oh, this book was so good that it positively destroyed me. and toward the end very quickly became one I couldn't read on the train without blubbering. what a powerful, incredible story - and deserves all the acclaim it's receiving!
