i had a lot of fun reading this one. the story was very well written and put together. i enjoyed pip as the protagonist even though she was a huge nerd and sometimes cringe. halfway through the book i already had my guess (which turned out to be correct) but the tension stayed consistent and mysterious. i was really invested how it gonna unravel and it didn’t disappoint. i do wish that pip worked a little bit more professionally (she stopped halfway (due to the tension increasing) or it was not mentioned by the author; pip stopped taking audio recordings and writing down the interviews etc) 4/5 still not sure if i will read the sequel

a slow read, boring compared to the rest. but i am very excited how this story connects to the rest
it we so awful. the story was extremely boring and slow. the characters were unlikeable and unfortunately they hat no chemistry whatsoever. it was very tiresome that the author explained so much about the characters instead of showing us who they are. 0/5 stars

like i already mentioned in my “moonlight on nightingale way” review, i grew up with this series and cole really does hold a special place in my heart, so rereading this book was very comforting. i really love cole and shannon and the only thing i’ll be criticizing is cole’s character.
I am a little bit disappointed that he’s such a bland copy of all the man before him. i wish that he’s a bit more shy and reserved, so that he can stand out more compared to the rest. he was too arrogant, too cocky for my own liking (but his flirting skill are on point, as the youth would say: he got rizz). i wish that he still struggles with everything he went through (mommy issues) and we; him, shannon and the audience, face his struggles together and overcome them. he was fourteen when jo and cam met, so i think his past left some heavy scars and shannon would help him thru everything (they would help each other). still 4/5 stars 💕

i have read the dublin street series many years ago and decided to reread scotland street because it was one of my favorite (i guess i have, like everyone else, a weak spot for cole). after reading scotland street i stumbled upon moonlight on nightingale way, which i knew existed but completely forgot about.
i was so excited to read it because i liked logan and think his story is really appealing.
but this book was a huge disappointment and do not deserve to be the ending of this series.
before i talk about all the bad stuff, i wanna mention the good things: grace.
she was absolutely lovable and her backstory was very different then the other ones before (even though having no family is kinda the thing that connects everyone). i just love a polite, elegant and independent women. i liked her dynamic with her friends and maia.
maia was also a delight except for this matchmaker stuff.
i, from the get go, resented logan. he was so mean and fucking rude to grace for no reason. he went off on her for being judgy but look at him. he never went thru a redemption arc so i never forget him and hated him til the end. also he was cringe and the sex was bad. he was like “i’m gonna fuck u so hard til u see stars” but boy no u won’t. their first time was against a kitchen wall so 🤷🏻♀️
another thing i hates was the so called “tribe”. naming yourself that is also cringe but whatever. every woman from the tribe tried to convince grace to date logan and give him a chance because he is such a good man. but if he’s so good then he doesn’t need other people to help him getting a woman???
i skipped most of the stuff with the tribe because it felt so unnatural ( and i also skipped the epilogue). every woman in this tribe felt like one person, shannon did not feel like herself and i swear she lost all her personality.
another thing: why was cole not involved in this whole maia thing? his mom was a drug addict too. i feel like he should have played a bigger role because he went through the same shit as maia.
in general the maia story was also forced af, because why would grace help logan?? yes for maias sake i guess but he didn’t deserve her help at all.
anyways 1/5 stars most of it was trash and it’s so annoying how often grace (or every women’s before) described the man in this series as attractive. i get it, they are good looking and the perfect boyfriend/husband (and grace should be so honored to have the chance to be with logan) but legit they are just replicas from each other (or from brandon bc he was the prototype).
the fact that this is a adam driver fanfic ruined the whole book for me
