Beach Read was my number 1 Emily Henry book but this was has officially taken its spot. I love that Emily Henry stepped away from her typical rom com style and added another layer with this one. I absolutely loved the characters and the whole time felt this was Emily Henry meets The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.

Props to Hazelwood on venturing out of her typical genre. This book was an easy, fun to read standalone. I appreciated the banter between Misery and Lowe but it’s not a book that will stand out or be one I’m consistently reaching for / recommending.

If you liked ACOTAR you’ll love this. Morally grey characters, world building for multiple books, and all the things we love in the fae world. I will see the fmc can be annoying but still great! Need more Fisher & Saeris.

This book did a great job sharing all the POVs of a large family but I didn’t feel like anything was truly “wrapped up”. Left me wanting closure without any additional pages as it would be too long at that point.
