The writing itself was still good, imo. I know some people don't like it when the main char says FML, but i don't mind it. It puts me in the mindset of Grace.
I am not sure if i recommend it. It depends on your personality type. Example, i know my cousin would love it. I can't give more away without giving spoilers. I can say that a lot more characters were introduced and that was interesting. We got to see more powers as well. I just didn't like where the direction of the romance went.
The plot itself however, is pretty good and it was enjoyable overall if you ignore that the ending made me cry.
Here's my non-spoiler tiktok reaction.

OH MY GOD SERIOUSLY. I HATE LOVE TRIANGLES BETWEEN BROTHERS. Drives me batty. I am okay with love triangles as long as it's done right. Why would an author write a whole book about how amazing Jaxon is, then give him some kind of brain transplant, then suddenly make him a douche and then wow his older brother who was the bad guy is gonna swoop in and save the day.
I do like Hudson. I do. She did a good job writing him (although it did feel like fan fiction the way he was sooo handsome and ha ha, British. -_-), but not like this. Come on. But don't worry guys, there's possible interest for him in Flint? Yay Bisexuals are being represented? I am one, and it just feels like a cop out "DON'T WORRY Grace didn't leave him, he just didn't know he was bisexual. We're all good." Thanks? You made him so overprotective he was an ass, but he's gonna be good for Flint. A win for bisexuals everywhere?
A main reason i'm not a fan of these types of books is that it just makes the first book null and void. What would be the point of rereading them and knowing the first big is a throwaway since the second book is turns everything on its head. I mean i love reading alternative fan fiction to see what if, but not for canon. I'm still gonna read the third one to see wehre she's going with this, but i may not read the 4th (Yes, the 4th was announced) I LOVE JAXON. Now what do i do? :(
