Something So Perfect by Natasha Madison

This book is the perfect continuation after the book “Something So Right!” You’ll get to see the romance of Matthew, who is the son of Parker and step son of Cooper Stone from that book! I love a good book that showcases the kids from previous ones! Matthew is now a professional ice hockey player and followed in the footsteps of his step father. He was wreck-less after he got signed as he was young and it affected his career. Now, Cooper has pulled some strings for one last shot for him to keep doing hockey. He signs a deal for a team but he has to have a chaperone at all times to keep him in line. That chaperone is named Carrie. While I loved watching their work relationship develop into a romance, there was one scene in the book that bothered me. During the scene, I saw it more as kidnapping than love and it was very odd to me. Taking out that scene I loved the whole story, as we also got glimpses of Cooper and Parker from the previous book as well!

Wow! This opening scene of this book is Max and Allison getting married! I loved Allison from the previous books but Max was the bad boy so I was shocked! I couldn’t put this book down as I had to know how this came to be! The book then went back to the beginning from when they first met. You’ll grow to love both of these characters so much as they develop and you learn Max’s background and life story! An intriguing storyline mixed with a beautiful love story!

Zachary and Andi knocked it out of the park with their narrating of this book!!! From their adorable kid voices of the high schoolers to Zachary’s perfect football coach voice as he pulls away from the microphone to represent talking to the players or being on the field. It made you feel like you were right there in all the scenes watching it all happen! They are the perfect combination!

Why has it taken me so long to read this book?!? Emma’s engaging and enjoyable writing hooked me right in as I instantly fell in love with Garrett and Callie. I wanted to listen to the audiobook again as soon as I finished! A second chance love AND they’re both teachers? Immediately swooning and in love! Plus, Garrett and Callie’s chemistry is hot and draws you right in! As a former teacher myself, who worked with 0 hot male teachers, it was like my dreams coming true in one book! Definitely a must read if you love hot, caring, and supportive high school teachers! Did I mention he’s also the head football coach?

Once again, Zachary and Andi kill it with the narration of this book! Their voices for the high school kids is the best and they do an outstanding job going back and forth with them during the conversations! Makes this book even better with them as the narrators!

A hot high school math teacher who also is the drummer in a band in the summer? Yes please!! Did I mention he also was one of the coaches on the high school football team and math league and is good with kids? Swoon!!! Emma did a fabulous job writing the development of Dean’s character through the book which made me falling more and more in love with him! He starts as the player in their small town who has slept with everyone but then he has a one night stand with a girl named Laney during the summer and it changes everything. He can’t stop thinking about her but he never got her number. While I’d love to share more, there are so many good parts in this book I don’t want to spoil! This book is worth the read to find out the rest! It’s another incredible book in the “Getting Some” series from Emma!

The last book in the “Getting Some” series but oh so good!! It was the first book not taking place at the school so I wasn’t sure if I’d like it as much but boy was I wrong!!! It’s even better, a hot doctor and nurse romance! OBSESSED! It’s still the same small town as the previous 2 books in this series and Connor is Garrett’s brother from the first book, so still in the family. He’s a doctor with 3 kids, who is now divorced. His commentary with himself throughout the book is my favorite! Making fun of himself plus some dad jokes thrown in make him so charming! Then there is Violet. His nurse coworker who he adorably calls “V” and has a crush on. Connor’s family from the previous books are involved in trying to get them together which makes it even more perfect. Their journey to romance is adorable, playful, charming and completely addicting to read! You won’t be able to get enough of Connor and “V.”

I am loving these next generation books of the kids from the “Something So” series!!! This book was the story of Zara’s twin sister, Zoe. She appears a lot in her sister’s book, “This Is Crazy” and definitely recommend reading that first.

Zoe has sworn off dating hockey players until she is given the job to help Victor find a home. He’s a new player her brother just signed to the hockey team who has a rough history. This book is a trigger warning for addiction and working through the 12 steps. I loved how Natasha showed the true side affects of struggling with addiction and how it affected Victor throughout the storyline. These real issues do make the romance a very, very slow build.

My first Lauren Rowe book and I have no words! An incredibly well written story that had me fully engaged for every page and chapter! I went from tears falling, to my heart swooning, to laughing out loud, and every emotion in between! This book has a phenomenal storyline that is every bit engaging and enjoyable!

The first few chapters of HERO start off so incredibly emotional that admittedly I almost stopped reading because of it. It detailed the real and raw danger of being a first responder which I was not expecting right from the beginning! BUT I am glad I didn’t stop with those hard chapters or I would have missed the captivating story of a hot firefighter named Colby and a woman named Lydia. I don’t want to give any spoilers as this book is so much better finding things out as they happen! Just know that your heart will burst with love for these 2 and the development of their love!

This book is the first in the Morgan brothers series and boy oh boy, all the brothers appearances in this book did not disappoint at all! There are so many phenomenal conversions between the brothers throughout the whole entire book. In fact, their whole family will have you wishing they were an honorary member! They have the most hilarious banter, love for each other and the fantastic inside jokes. I can’t wait to read the next brother’s book in this series!

The first book in the Boudreaux family series and I’m already swooning! Easy Love has an intriguing storyline, addictive romance, and such descriptive writing that will have you captivated in the story! I couldn’t put it down! First, Kristen described the location of New Orleans with such detail that it made me feel like I was right there at the places in each part of the story! Then there is Eli, the CEO of their family ship building company and Kate, the woman hired to help figure out who is stealing from the company. I loved how their instant attraction wasn’t a slow burn romance and didn’t take half the book to start! Instead we got to enjoy Eli’s forwardness and savor their romance throughout most of the book while still having a compelling storyline! This book does have more romance than I usually read, however it was so well written and flowed perfectly with the plot of the story making it so enjoyable! Kristen has ruined me for other romance novels now and set my expectations higher!

OBSESSED is all I can say to describe my love of this book and of course Rhys! I mean, what gets better than chemistry and attraction that is acted on right from the start without some drawn out slow burn and angst when you just want some incredible romance!

This is the 2nd book in Boudreaux series. Gabrielle, aka Gabby, is one of the Boudreaux siblings and runs a bed and breakfast called Inn Boudreaux at her family’s historical house down in New Orleans. She lives there with her son, Sam, whose father gave up his rights before she had him. Then there is Rhys who is a pitcher for the Cubs and comes to stay at the inn while he rehabs his arm from an injury. When he first comes to the Inn, Gabby is showing Rhys around and tells him each room in the Inn is named after woman from the family. Rhys response, “Where’s the Gabby room?” I laughed and swooned at the same time at his forwardness and knew right then I was going to love this story! The chemistry between Rhys and Gabby was appealing, charming and had me completely enamored! You’ll quickly be swooning over Rhys and his sweet and caring characteristics. But he’s not in town forever, so what happens when his baseball injury heals?

Kristen Proby’s writing of this book is so phenomenal as it flows smoothly and combines a fantastic storyline of 2 people navigating a relationship with real life conflict/past issues and romance that makes you fall deeper and deeper in love with the couple!

I’ve been intrigued about Declan since he appeared in the first book of this series and his story did not disappoint! He’s the twin sister of Savannah, aka, Van in the Boudreaux family and also a musician. He’s a true free spirit that loves playing music and not interested in settling down. Then he meets Callie. We actually got a glimpse of Callie buying shoes in Gabby’s book at Charly’s shoe store, another of Declan’s sisters! Callie runs a bar in the French Quarter, called the Odyssey, that used to be run by her father. She inherited it when he died so she moved back to town and completely renovated it. Now Declan is back to play his music in the bar as it’s reopening once again since Callie remodeled it. Declan and Callie’s chemistry from the start is alluring and captivating making you want more of the 2 of them! The evolvement of them has sweet, tender moments, little angst, and a whole lot of romance!

I’m obsessed with Kristen’s writing of the Boudreaux family! Each book has the best intertwining of the Boudreaux siblings and other family members! Easy Melody is FULL of these family moments as we got to see Mama’s family dinners, conversations during their sibling hang outs and lots of little moments with his sisters. Declan’s sisters are the freaking best and take this story to the next level! They are an integral part of events in the story and you’ll completely adore them every step of the way!
