I can’t remember when I started this book. But I finished it today. I enjoyed the read. I liked the two perspectives. The novel kept me engaged the entire way through. Each time I had to put it down I sighed not wanting to. Once your in this story, you can’t help but fight through along with the characters to the end because you, too, HAVE to know what happened.

When you pick up a book, you never know what you’re truly going to get.
Will it be a story you want to share? Will it move you to action? Will it make anyone’s life better? Or will it have been something you should have put down and moved on to the next?
I can tell you before you pick up this book, that it is without a doubt WORTH the read! It will move you to action, it will make your life better by having read it.
I don’t have a current suggestion on what your next read should be, but as for me, I’m going to re-read this one.
Five stars to Adam Silvera and all who had a hand in publishing and promoting this book. And five stars to @Cassc38 who suggested it to me on a twitter feed asking for followers to give up their favorite song and in return she’ll give you a book title.
Cass you answered “Hurricane by Thirty Seconds to Mars” with “They both die at the end by Adam Silvera” and you got it right! I loved the read! Thank you!
This book is about so many things, but bravery of love is what sticks most with me. I promise to try to be as brave as all the characters in this book are.

I enjoyed this story very much. It was the beginning of my No TV in January resolution. It was very different than I expected it to be. But I truly enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this book. I believe it will do for neurology what Inside Out did for emotions. I felt there were a few places that the story could have had more emotion. I also felt like Bernard was closer to the age of 10-11 not 14. But overall it had good pacing and it sweeps you up before you realize it.
I applaud anyone that can keep you captivated with words. It is well written. I also loved the images in the novel. I always stared at them for a good while before moving on.
Thank you to the authors and to BookTasters for getting me involved. I look forward to more.

Jaw Dropping Action

From start to finish you’re pulled into a world that you want to be a part of. You want Owen to be your best friend and you want to be a member of MHI. I did not want this book to end! Throughly enjoyable! Will be recommending this novel to everyone!

When I saw the title of this book I was intrigued, but then when I read the description I knew I needed to read it. In 2011 I myself was diagnosed with a mild TBI. So, I really wanted to read Sarah’s story. I can say without a doubt that it’s the closest thing I’ve ever read to my own experience. There are only a handful of books that once I’ve picked them up I couldn’t put them down, this was one of those books. I started it in the morning and finished by bedtime.
Sarah also taught me some things about myself that I’ve been questioning for a while. After reading her experiences I see that those things in me are also from my brain injury. I too have been encouraged by my neurologist to “keep writing.”
I truly related to this story and I will be recommending it to everyone who asks me how I live with a brain injury.
Sarah, thank you for writing. I can’t say how many times I cried while reading your words because I could relate 100%. Thank you for sharing your story and being so open and frank about everything.

The Blood of Whisperers

Here we are at the end of another book, and it is time for the review. I can say when I started this book I was a bit bored, and it took me a few chapters to be truly pulled in. What kept me going was the authors ability to pull you into a scene. Sights, sounds, colors and smells. You feel like you’re in the novel. So, I kept reading.
If you’ve read any of my past reviews you’ll know that my opinion on writing in different perspectives is pretty hardcore. If you’re going to do it, you’d better do it right and not mess it up. If you mess it up, I’m going to let you know. So when I noticed the chapter titles were different characters I was worried.
With all that said...
What Devin Madison has done with this novel, deserves a standing ovation! The different perspectives are tangible. One chapter with Endymion, the next Darius, then Hana, flawlessly accomplished!
You’re drawn in to the characters, even in the moments you’re screaming at them to stop being a little bitch about everything and just “man up.”
I liked these characters because they made me laugh, scream, groan, want to smack them, and all while the visualizations were so fierce at times it made me gag. It felt as though you’re there trying to fight along side each of them in whatever quest they are on.
The other characters in the book, some you love some you hate. You applaud at some deaths and wince at others. The characters you think you hate you love and the ones you love you hate. It’s fabulous!
I feel the need to go back into some of my other reviews and give them less stars because I want this novel to have more than the others!
I can confidently state that I will be reading this novel again, as well as picking up the series. I will be recommending it to others as the five star novel that it is.
Fabulously done Devin Madison! Well written, grammar was spot on! I’d like to high five your editor and give you a pat on the back. Well Done!

George Pringate’s Last Hurrah

Sometimes when I begin a new novel I’m overly judgmental. When I read something that is a bit too vulgar or obscene my first instinct is to say “oh great another guy wrote a novel that’s objective towards women.” I’m very quick to internally yell at myself to “stop it!” However, if it keeps going and the writer doesn’t get it under control I feel justified in calling the author out in the review.
I’d like to say, there will be No calling anyone out in this review.
To say this novel furthered my love of reading is an understatement. Any book that can make me laugh out loud, squirm in my seat, scream out “oh my Gawd!”, and start bawling like a baby within the span of a chapter, absolutely gets a five star rating.

I love this novels view on afterlife. The “snapshot” aspect was a great thing that I never would have thought of. I enjoyed that a great deal.
While the entire book was good, chapter 3- part II, literally punched me in the gut. I could feel it as if I were living it. I want to find that kid and hug him. Part IV I can only use emojis to express how it made me feel...
