I'm gonna be honest, I didn't know what was going on over half of the time reading this book, but I somehow still loved every moment and it had me a sobbing mess, completely crumbled... Interpret that how you will. This was poetry just as much as it was a great story. Highly recommend the audio version.

There was some plot convenience that was a little eye-roll worthy, and the ending felt slightly rushed, but overall I adored this book. I fell more in love with this story and characters with each book, this one being my favourite of the series (so far).

What a terrible conclusion to a series that I mostly enjoyed.

THE QUEER BAITING OF HOOK AND ROC IS SO NOT OK!!!!! I AM FURIOUS. This was teased in book 3 and I was so excited for that to happen in this book and the most we got was a "naughty" comment made by roc in the epilogue. Unbelievable.

That was only the beginning of the disappointment tbh. Lack of sex, Tink was disappointing, we completely forgot about some characters apparently? Ugh. Sad.

Knocked off a quarter star for some of the things about food & eating that I disagree with, but overall this was extremely validating for someone who has experienced so much trauma in my life. This challenged me to try to dive deeper into my thoughts, emotions, beliefs and relationships & get curious about the ways I navigate our culture and my own existence/experience. Would highly recommend this to anyone on this planet who breathes to be honest, very healing.
