Loved this one!! it was a true enemies to lovers and Aida was such a lovable FMC! she’s ballsy, such a bada**, doesn’t take any crap, and is completely her own person - with and without callum. I loved her relationship with her brothers and their faith in her ability to take care of herself while still being protective. Callum was interesting - at first i thought he was kind of a prick but by the end i loved him! (but i guess this is how all enemies to lovers usually goes haha) but the “my wife” was *chef’s kiss*

This book was absolutely 5 stars all the way up until the very end. I just felt like I needed a little bit more context/explanation - it felt slightly rushed but I still really enjoyed the whole storyline. There's just something that resonates with me about someone travelling to another country and finding themselves amongst the unknown. It was very reminiscent of eat, pray, love with a bit more romance involved. The point of views switched around and while I very much appreciated seeing their thoughts/viewpoints, it was bugging me so much that some were in third person, some were in first person, and some were in second person (second person pov is the bane of my existence tbh). But overall would highly recommend if you like travel romances, escaping a toxic person, and the journey of finding yourself.
Some of my favorite quotes:
“I wonder how it is that we go along year after year never questioning the routines we’ve set for ourselves, never wondering if it could be different."
"If maybe, it is only possible for us to fix ourselves."
"I'd like to say I just did it for you, but I'm not sure that would be the truth."
"Do you ever think maybe we should live more of our lives like that?" "Like what?" "Just hanging out, not always chasing after something."

Our story follows Audrey, a recently single 39 year old who has been shipped off to Jamaica by her two best friends to recuperate post-breakup, and Jax, a 23 year old college graduate who is celebrating his accomplishment in Jamaica with his two best friends. While there, they find themselves in a whirlwind vacation romance with an expiration date - or so they thought.
I really really wanted to love this book. I thought there were great elements involved, like the main characters' individual personalities, the friend groups that each of them have, and the commitment to their careers. However, the whole story just felt underdeveloped. The pacing was EXTREMELY fast, with a lot of ‘telling’ rather than ‘showing.’ I would say about half of the book is spice, which is typically fine with me as long as the plot isn’t sacrificed in place of it, which I unfortunately feel happened here. I felt that there were a lot of places that could have been delved into deeper, instead of just giving us surface level conflict and then resolving it in a matter of a few pages.
I liked the overall story-line of this book, but I would have enjoyed more depth on almost all of the elements/plot lines. However, it was still a cute, quick, and easy read! Honestly would be a good palette cleanser if you are in between heavy books!

I absolutely loved this one!! It was written SO beautifully and I literally could not put it down (accidentally read it within a day haha). Alex and Freddie's chemistry was palpable throughout the whole book, even when they were at odds. Alex's fierce determination and dedication to her beliefs was inspiring, even if her stubbornness was slightly irksome at certain points. I loved Freddie's logical approach to everything and his unwavering commitment to considering all sides. He was sweet, charming, funny and just overall a great MMC
