4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this. Val is sarcastic and snarky, and Dimitri played really well off that so I hope he comes back. I really liked Zav and the tiger (who’s name I’m completely blanking on). The only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is because it is a little strange and my suspension of (dis)belief was really put to the test a few times. But all in all, I’m really looking forward to the next book.
I love El. She's snarky and sarcastic and stubborn in all the right ways, and I just adore her. I do feel like sometimes we got too much specific info dumping. We didn't need all that info we got, and it took me out of it sometimes because I just wanted it to go back to the plot. That being said, will definitely read the sequel.
