Wow, absolutely wonderful. Engaging writing and a story that hits in a deeply relatable way despite being about a famous person.

Really lovely piece of speculative fiction about experiences, choice, and the human psyche.

I was initially drawn in but after a really suspenseful start, it slowed way down and I just lost interest completely.

A fun read and a competent horror. Not what I want out of a vampire book - the vampires are more like zombies and you get basically nothing from their perspective. More akin to 28 Days Later than any vampire media. Still, the writing is enjoyable (with the caveat that the writing of women leaves something to desired) and the mystery is compelling. I liked the first half of the novel better, when the central mystery of the plane was being explored at a slower pace.

Fine, sorta lacking what I enjoyed about earlier books in there series. Terrible writing of women, but that's always been an issue. Plot wise, a bit packed in terms of scope. More epic and less small scale than previous entries. All in all, fine but I doubt I'll reread.

Pretty solid fun horror thriller while also being an interesting metaphor. Loved the writing, the rapid but smooth shifts in perspective are nice. Each character's voice feels distinct.
