I tried to feel a connection, but I don't. It is just falling flat and I don't look forward to picking it up to read.

Had trouble really rooting for the characters. The angst was long and drawn out. Admittedly how they aged a year was well formatted. The image you had in the beginning does gracefully age by the end. I just wasn't convinced of Ari's growth by the end.

A warm, comfortable read diving into aspects that influenced Emily Dickinson. Additionally, it further allowed Emily to be seen as human beyond being the great American poet. Wished it had a bit more insights on her family relationships and with Sue, but wonderful insights nonetheless.
