This could have been a powerful book, with a strong and powerful message. Well, the message is there, but the story didn't lead to what I was expecting from it — islamophobia is real, discrimination is real, and rebellions are built on hope. I just wished it wasn't too much stereotyped. If I'm being honest, the "author's note" was more relevant than the whole story. But I'm looking forward to read more books about this author, the writing was simple but fluid and I appreciated it.
