This book was incredible. It gives a lot of good insight into the various lives of soliders during World War Two while also following the amazing story of Louie. The author really did her research. It gives a wonderful look into what life is like post-war, how anger at those who hurt you can cripple you if you do not forgive, and the peace and joy and burdens lifted when you finally do let go of the past and move on. I have heard about this book and waited a long time to read it, and it did not disappoint.

I thought this book was just. . .ok. I hadn't seen the movie, so I didn't compare it to that. I had heard only good things about this book, but I was disappointed. It was intriguing enough to keep me reading, but I wasn't in love with it. I felt like it was just the author's way of secretly bragging about all these different secret societies he had been researching about by making a story out of it. That's really about all I have to say about it.

This was once again a fast paced intense novel by Grisham. He gave subtle hints throughout the book as to who was really behind the conspiracy and you really didn't know who to trust. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was I felt at times it was a little "smutty". Nothing graphic or too detailed, but there were some characters that were a little bit too sexual for my taste, but that is just my personal opinion. Other than that, it was a good read.

Charming is the best word I can think of to describe this book. It was light, easy, and delightful. You instantly fall in love with Despereaux and feel for many of the characters as you read their back stories. Children and adults will all enjoy this book.

I usually give a book a good 50-100 pages to get me interested. I did that with this book, but I was still BORED. It didn't help that she had it in 5 points of view. I've read "My Sister's Keeper" by this author and it was in multiple voices as well and I like how that booked flowed. This one did not flow. It jumped around and I'm sure she had a reason at the end as to why, but since I was bored I didn't really care to finish it. Plus, it got dirty, and I didn't like that.
