So, having just finished reading this screenplay and having never seen this movie, all I can think of is that I don't know who gave the green light on this, but I would never have. Do I have grounds to speak on this? I don't know. I'm not in the industry, but I have read several scripts. Maybe the movie is okay, because there are cases where scripts can be lackluster, but the movies that they become can be great.

One example of this is Call Me By Your Name. I love Call Me By Your Name, particularly the book. The movie less so because Armie Hammer's just not Oliver and will never be Oliver and nobody's going to convince me otherwise. It should have been Austin Butler, but I'll stop here before I start ranting about that. I am already kind of ranting about that, but moving on. The movie is pretty great other than Armie Hammer (looks too old to play Oliver), but the script was completely dull and shit, exactly like this. Just an xtra example.

What could you see here? Nothing. Like, there wasn't a single scene that I could visualize in my mind. Half the time while I was reading, I was like, what the fuck are these animals doing? Like, are they in Noah's Ark? What the fuck is happening here? I couldn't see anything. It wasn't visual enough. And granted, you could argue, oh, a script doesn't need to be visual, but yes, it does. Yes, it does.

You need to feel something for the characters. You need to be able to see something because that's what draws people to greenlight projects (I guess, being not in the *movie* industry - have been in the theatre one - that’s what would make *me* greenlight).

I would never greenlight this script. Never. Make of that what you will.

Maybe the movie is great. I don't know.

I'm not sure I have any plans to watch it after having to read through this clusterfuck. I do consider rereading this just to see if I can see something, but I don't think there's anything there to be seen. And I don't know how this got greenlit. Maybe it was politics. Maybe it was money. Who knows? Read it at your own peril.

PS, beautiful cover. But that’s not enough.

This was completely ridiculous and useless. It was written before the movie was even released so what the fuck it can’t be taken seriously in any way at all it’s ridiculously repetitive…just don’t fucking bother.
