2.5* Pretty predictable outcome! The vast amount of povs could be annoying and confusing. By the second half or even last third it improved with the tension rising.
This book definitely felt outdated but I still enjoyed it. Very funny although I would suggest a trigger warning for those who struggle with eating disorders or have issues with their weight. Also wish the romance elements were stronger. I wanted more Mark Darcy!
4.5*. Wow loved this! Definitely recommend for any YA mystery fans. Great mystery and some fun/angsty romance too! Felt slightly let down by the ending but see now that it will be like Truly Devious where the mystery is slowly unravelled over multiple books. Excited to keep reading the series!
*4.5 stars. This was good and kept me so invested the whole time! I just didn’t like how much it mentioned r*pe and sexual violence against woman, I was uncomfortable at times. But loved the action and plot and romance. Can’t wait to see what happens next in the series.
4.5 stars! Loved this book so much! I’m a sucker for a slow burn romance so this was perfect getting to see the beginning of their relationship all the way through. There were so many cute moments.
I’m between a 4 and a 3.5 for this book. While it is definitely disappointing compared to other books by Riley Sagar, I don’t dislike it as much as some people. I always find his writing to be so good and his books so addicting which is really important. However, I did guess multiple twists in this book and, as others have said, the main character is pretty dumb at times. So not the best but not the worst.
This is a really fun and fast paced thriller! Not perfect as the epilogue left something to be desired and I did guess who the killer was around half way through, but the ride was really enjoyable. Will definitely be reading more from this author.
2.5 stars. Definitely a disappointing read. The main character was odd, I feel like the characters should have been older for what they were going through such as the romance between two of them. The “twists” were pretty predictable and it was too short to really deliver on what it intended to. Very sad but also didn’t make me feel things as deeply as I wanted to.
Really enjoyed this! Was very fond of the main characters and the twists. Really intrigued to see where it goes. I like the cat and mouse sort of game like in Deathnote where the characters are needing to outsmart each other.
