3/5 ✨
This book was definitely heavy, to say the least. However, I did find myself often bored throughout the story. I felt like despite the page number going up and up, nothing was really happening. Also, the fact that Golden was so obsessed with boys was one of the reasons I had to bump down my rating.
There were some memorable moments and twists, though. At times, I found myself being surprised by some of the things that happened. Furthermore, the topics were dealt nicely.
Overall, I wouldn't say this book was my thing, but I enjoyed the time I had while reading it.

i have SO many thoughts on this... but i guess the summary would be i have feelings for a fictional man for the first time and i’m not precisely mentally stable right now

honestly i did like the story, but i was pretty bored throughout the book, especially the first part. i did not really become invested in anyone and i didn’t really care about any of the characters. this book was okay, i guess. character-driven books are definitely not my thing.
there were definitely moments where i was sort of hooked due to the intensity of the scene, but they felt rather short.
what i did get away from this, however, is that daisy is a sunshine and no one deserved her. at all.

i wish i had the proper words to express how much this book has helped me and how much i loved it from beginning to end. and i will have the proper words. just not right now.
