i really enjoyed this! i was blown away by the atmosphere of the story. as i read along, i couldn’t help but gasp at how beautiful the writing was; it’s definitely one of the most beautiful i have ever read even though it’s not that complex! it gets its job done and it does it extremely beautifully. i cannot put into words how this author’s writing made me feel throughout the book, i will definitely read more from her in the near future!
if i had to say something negative, it’s that the plot was very very blurred? like a lot happened and i wasn’t really sure what was happening at some points or what the conflict even was, but i just went with it. nonetheless, i still enjoyed what this book offered and had a lot of fun (i even cried at the point with gauri)

The story behind the whole musical is amazing! I love how Lin put so much effort into both the musical (music, lyrics...) and the book. My favorite parts though were the song lyric ones since I loved reading those little notes Lin had to say!

I loved the plot, and the characters were amazing. The only thing that makes this book a 4.5 instead of a 5 is that I felt like sometimes the writing style felt like too much, or mainly most of the time. But aside from that this book is amazing and I would recommend it to every person out there!
