objectively good book but holy fuck was it difficult to read… not difficult in the way of “i don’t understand any of this” because hello? im so genius, But difficult in the sense that it was soooo slow and there were some parts i liked and enjoyed reading (victor and his friend he was in love with, victor realizing he fucked up immediately after creating Creature, and a few more), but overall it just took tooooo longgggg

very pretentious but i like that about her writing style !!

picked this one because i read masters of death and Really loved it so of course i tuned into other things she has written but this one was iffy…

off the bat, slow as fuck jesus christ. it did finally pick up eventually but some perspectives were just so boring and annoying to get through and then it just wasn’t fully connecting for me i fear

the way the physics was written made NO sense?? like i’m not a physicist but some of that shit just seemed like paragraphs of filler words to make it seem like their powers made sense. that’s another thing actually, their fucking powers made no sense??? like on a base level it was almost 100% clear what each character specialized in but then you would get to a scene and suddenly two characters are able to do each other’s power? it seemed like in the beginning of the book, each character was being chosen because their powers were unique to them and no one else selected could do it but then we get there are suddenly everyone can read minds, everyone can use forces, like huh???

i did like most of the relationship building, friendships and actual relationships!! that part seemed to flow fairly well to me ig and i definitely have my endgame ships picked

writing this review as im about 150 pages into The Atlas Paradox and THAT book??? i don’t even wanna get started like what the hell… i absolutely hate dnf-ing things so i’m really trying not to but basically everything there is pissing me off
