By 25% I was convince this was bound to be a 5* read

Was not wrong. Usually I read Omegaverse for sweet, fluffy, easy read. This book is all that PLUS felt like a more traditional romance. You easily could have removed the A/B/O elements and still had a really good age gap, student/teacher novel.

I LOVED the characters they had wonderful personalities, and unique voices (even eye read). The set up for the second book made me desperate for the next novel I cannot wait for it to be released. I'll be going back and reading more from this Author ASAP.

This book had me laugh, cry and SWOON. So much tension without excessive drama.

I was really happy with how the Author was able to keep the age gap and manage the fact that the MCs had been in each other lives from one’s very early childhood without it being problematic.

This was sooo good. It hit all my marks.

Knitting theme (I'm a fibre geek so this is top tier for me)

Disability Rep - Anxiety

Book literally mentions the difference in accents between the characters, sadly the narrator uses the same voice for both. I would have rather eye read this.

Overall the book is cute and pretty low stakes. Connor and Judah have a pretty relaxed time falling into their situationship. There are cute dates (that are not dates), getting stranded in a blizzard (...so cuddles and crafting have to happen. I don't make the rules.) and there is a formidable attempt to not work out but we all know it will.

The Full novel for Archer we met in ā€œArchers Awakeningā€

Over all cute book, but at times it just felt too…Easy? There was little tension and the characters just felt a little flat…Like they were just willing to resign to the situation that they were in and unwilling to consider that there were other options. There wasn’t a level of communication I thought was necessary for some of the plot points.

I’ve read a few of the novellas but this is the first full length novel I’ve read from this series. While I like the theme (recluses finding their men) I’m just not sure the series is right for me.

Out of the gate this isn’t hooking me

At almost 3 hours in I’m still not into this.

I don’t really like either of the characters.

Adoptive brothers
Fated mates
Omegaverse
No Mpreg
Low/No heat

Super slow burn, a lovely snapshot of an Omega that doesn’t want to allow biology to dictate to him. Set in a different time/space; it's made clear we're in a different reality to ours beyond the ABO designations.

I had no idea what to expect from this, but I figured I would give it a go. I was so pleased and surprised by my desire to keep reading. To be fully honest I don’t think this would have worked as a dual POV/longer book. It really was just Ellis’ story. I did feel like there were bits of information missing that could have created more character depth, but as the book when on the less I seemed to care.

By the end of the book I was super keen to read more about this world the author has created.

Pacing is a little off. I didn’t get enough of the squidgy love feeling I enjoy because there just wasn’t enough development.

This book lighting fast became a Daddy/Boy book. I’m not mad about it, but this book really felt it was trying to shoe horn in more than it really needed into a book with a 4 day timeline.

  • Billionaire
  • Disability
  • Workplace
  • Daddy
  • Mystery

One of the MCs has an internal struggles with ā€œknowingā€ the other after HOURS and it’s a little childish that he’s upset that he isn’t so ā€œspecialā€ā€¦

ā€But I thought… Wade had broken his rules because of me. Because I’m special. And I’m not. He’s broken this rule before. How many times? Is this who he is?ā€

The whiplash was intense. The MCs meet, fall in instant lust, the first sweetheart happens within 13 hours of meeting, one MC is de flowered (🤢) within 72hrs, then there is big time drama, emotional vomiting into ornamental plants and the L word. All within 4 days…

As far as books go I didn’t hate it. I actually enjoyed most of it. When I get over the things that got hooked in my brain. For example the BILLIONAIRE MCs car is an Acura…he drives a freakin Honda and the other MC gushes about how luxurious it is…

End of the day, it’s a pretty fast paced story with an attempted mystery plot that I’m not upset I read.

The cruise has come to an end.

Ultimately this was the conclusion I wanted for these novellas. But things didn’t quite feel right reading it. The book felt a bit rushed and a little scattered with Kieran’s internal dialogue, there were a few places where things happen so fast it felt like small holes in the story. I actually went back and reread 3-4 parts to make sure I wasn’t being unfair in my judgement. I was so excited to start this book and I was quite tired and thought perhaps it was all me. I think adding a few extra pages to make the story smoother would have been helpful.

I’ll keep all the details to myself, but I’m very happy with the conclusion and tidbit the Author has left at the end of the book šŸ˜‰
