The main character was annoying. Clueless and thoughtless.
Her behavior was hurtful and the author tried too hard to make it seem like she was funny and carefree. She ended up being someone who acted like she was the only one with problems.

I detested Chris. He was blinded by his optimism of the true reality. I hated that he saw the awful things that Janie did, but still refused to accept the reality of the situation.
I want him to stay a week with the girl for him to experience what Hannah had to experience.
