Holy shit. 

It took me a minute to get into the YA dystopian swing of things (just not my genre these days) but once I did, I absolutely devoured this beautiful, bloody, disgusting thing. Read the latter half in one sitting and now I have a whole lot of Feelings™. 

I will be thinking about this one for the rest of my life.

I can’t decide if this was worse or better than I thought it’d be honestly. 

Did I like this? Debatable. Will I eventually read the rest of the series because a good defrocking feeds something weird deep down in my ex-Catholic soul? Probably.
