In Every Mirror She's Black by Lọlá Ákínmádé Åkerström
Did not finish book. Stopped at 14%.

Should've known this book wasn't for me since its pitched at Queenie meets Americanah and I DNF'd Queenie after the first two sentences (no kidding 🤣) and have no interest whatsoever in Americanah... 

Amora by Natalia Borges Polesso
Did not finish book. Stopped at 39%.

I had such high expectations for this wlw short story collection and the writing and themes explored are good per se, but unfortunately there are too many stories and they're all too short so the author can't go too much into detail and deepen the characterisation  or conclude with a satisfying ending or cliffhanger ://

The Christmas Murder Game by Alexandra Benedict
Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.

I was expecting this to be a Christmas themed Knives Out but I was finding it underwhelming. Not enough action and I didn't connect with any of the characters. 

The Blazing World by Siri Hustvedt
Did not finish book. Stopped at 48%.

The premise was incredible but the execution didn't live up to it in my opinion. The fact that I was reading this in audiobook form may have contributed to my loss of interest.

Not DNFing, just pausing. I'm in the mood for something else right now. / Volveré a él en otro momento, ahora me apetece leer otro tipo de libro.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 29%.

genuinely couldn't understand what was going on and it was very difficult to tell who the narrator was and if it was switching... whether that's due to a poor translation (Iwas reading the Spanish edition on Scribd) or to the fact tha the book requires more attention while reading it, I'm not sure

Me está gustando mucho, pero en este momento no estoy leyendo libros digitales así que voy a continuar más adelante. / I'm liking this a lot, just putting it on pause because I haven't been gravitating towards e-books lately. Will resume reading at a later time.
