I love the bouncy style in which Siken writes. And also my favorite poem of all times is part of the collection si I might be biased!!

Kentukis by Samanta Schweblin
Did not finish book. Stopped at 41%.

Amazing read. Lamya pulled at my heartstrings and though I struggled at times picking the book up, once I did, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN.
As an extra i love seeing some rep on actual immigrants rather than their kids!!!

This was so close to what I like to call the “La Rosa de Guadalupe” effect; which means so bad it’s good, but really? REALLY?
It’s just plain bad, things were too exaggerated and I swear it took itself too seriously for what it is and the way it’s written. I swear people talked and acted like angsty teenagers and not people in their 30s 😭😭😭😭
I have always been a thriller hater but every time I read one I start it expecting to change my mind, I always end up more upset at the genre than before 😭😭😭😭 0/10 no recomiendo

This is my first attempt at getting off my reading slump 😭😭👎
This book made me want to have kids. I mean not really, but it did made me realize I am a bit of a nurturer, the romance was so well written I was actually kicking my feet and giggling.
I read so much romance last year I was staring to hate it a little bit but this year I’ve been saving them for emergencies (my depressive episodes) and they’re hitting as hard as they used to, so I’ll take my win.
I will definitely read the fist book in the series and I’m looking forward to the release of the third!!!
