Iā€™ve been seeing a few people react to this online. I decided to give it a try to see if I had a hidden alien smut kink and it looks like I can do without it šŸ˜‚ I found myself being more interested in the side stories than the sex. I wanted to see if they would be able to go back home and I wanted to learn more about the blue/grey people.

I needed a quick mindless read and this book fulfilled that. I may or may not finish the series, 19 books is a lot. Since this is out of my comfort zone this isnā€™t a series it would binge.

Also, after reading the Crave series, I am so tired of the word ā€œmateā€! šŸ˜‚

I donā€™t think I have the patience for second chance romances. I wanted to smack both Josiah and Yasmeen. šŸ˜‚

You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty by Akwaeke Emezi

This book taught me that no matter what, always focus on what it is YOU want for yourself and for your spirit. Not in a super selfish and manipulative way; but in a healthy way. In way thatā€™ll keep you mentally comfortable and at peace with yourself.

Even in the mist of being chastised by others with fragile egos and insecurities, who disagree with your choices; you know that you can stand firm in your beliefs, stay true, and HONEST with yourself. Itā€™s okay to be the villain in someone elseā€™s story, people are too comfortable in their victimhood and sometimes you have to leave them there.

Feyi knew she wasnā€™t happy with Milan and she did something about it, instead of stringing him along. Feyi knew she didnā€™t want anything deep with Nasir and communicated that consistently. And he kept insisting ā€œweā€™re just friendsā€ over and over, but really was trying to ā€œgood guyā€ his way out of the friend zone. Nasir was the manipulative one here. Sure he is a right to be hurt, but he doesnā€™t have the right to be disrespectful, especially when Feyi communicated every step of the way. Him blowing up like that was way out of line and immediately jumping to conclusions showed me exactly where his head was at when it came to Feyi.

It was messy, but Feyi navigated the situation very well.
